And He Still Wanted Him Sunday, August 22, 2010
Remember Jonah? He was the dude that God told to go to Nineveh and preach to them. Jonah got on a boat and went the opposite way. As a result, he was thrown overboard, swallowed by a great fish and vomited up on shore. (EEWWWW)
The cool part is, after his "landing", God told Him to go to Nineveh again. God still wanted and desired to use him after all his rejection, running, and sin.
Ever sin? (Dumb question huh). Ever run from God? Hey, He still desires to use you. Think about it. God doesn't need anything including you and me. But His desire is to have you included in His plan. And even if we mess up, He's still there wanting YOU!

I was teaching our counselors during training week last week when I used an example. In my example, I referred to a time. I said, "suppose I came in here at 8:50 or even 8:60". Then I realized what I had said and said, "which would be 9:00". We all had a pretty good laugh at that one.
Mistakes are easy to make. If you can call sin a mistake, you can sure admit it's pretty easy to commit. What should we do when that happens?
